Meet the Team! Kyla Butterfield Q+A

What a busy couple of weeks it’s been! With numerous successful placements, platinum jubilees and our fantastic team winning three awards last Friday at our annual Equity Partners Awards Evening. Bu the excitement doesn’tstop there, we’re so pleased to announce a new member of our team, Kyla Butterfield.

Kyla started her career in recruitment 9 years ago, and then moved into the food industry eventually working to manage one of that company’s largest accounts, Kraft Heinz. After a break in 2020, to have her little boy,Kyla found herself back in recruitment, working for a big manufacturing client.

Now she has joined the Blakeney Point team we decided to sit down and get to know all about her!

What was your first-ever job?

My first ever job was a summer vacancy in our local greenhouses, packing tomatoes. I had to get up at 5:00am and ride my bike to get there… not something I enjoyed very much in my teens!

Why now recruitment?

I started in recruitment when I was 19 as a trainee consultant. I worked on the temporary staffing for an industrial division, I really got a feel for the fast-paced, 24/7, on call lifestyle that comes with it. I have more recently delved back into recruitment, working alongside my stepfather recruiting for a large local manufacturer. Dealing with people everyday is not easy but there is no better feeling than getting someone a new job and helping a client fill a vacancy they’ve been struggling with.

What three words would those closest to you use to describe you?

Caring, Loyal and Determined

What's your favourite food?

This is tough one as I LOVE food. I would say Thai is my favourite cuisine but the best meal I’ve ever had was duck 5 ways at RIJKs restaurant in Amsterdam.

What's your favourite way to spend your free time?

I am going to sound like such a cliché here but spending time with my family. My husband works long hours and every other weekend, so we really treasure our time together as a family.

What are you most excited about working for Blakeney Point?

I am really excited to work alongside the team. They have a fantastic team culture which is really important and hard to come by nowadays.
