Meet the Team! Jo Fitzgerald Q+A

Allow us to introduce Jo Fitzgerald, who has joined BP Operations, Blakeney Point’s Permanent Recruitment division which is led by Carla Lindsay.

Hailing from the capital city, Jo has been in recruitment for just over a year now and brings along her bright personality as well as a real passion for the Operations Industry.

Jo’s relaxed and caring energy makes her well-suited to her new role as a Candidate Manager as she offers support to job seekers going through the candidate process.

What has your recruitment experience been like so far?

I have been in recruitment just over a year now! It has been an incredibly rewarding experience so far and I’m really looking forward to keep developing my skills at BP Operations.

If your closest friends had to describe you in just three words, what would they be?

If you were to ask those closest to me, I believe they would describe me as a laid-back, caring, and trustworthy person. These are the qualities that are the most important to me and I always try to embody them in both my personal and professional life.

What's your favourite food?

When it comes to food, I don’t partially have a favourite. However, being from London, I do have a soft spot for pie and mash - even though I know that might not be everyone's cup of tea!

What was your first-ever job?

My very first job was quite different from my current role. I worked as a sports coach, teaching various sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. It was a great experience and allowed me to develop valuable skills that I still carry with me today.

How do you make the most of your free time? Any fun hobbies or interests?

I find joy in life’s simple pleasures. One of my main hobbies is watching football, despite the fact that I unfortunately support Chelsea! Additionally, I enjoy visiting my family back home in London - spending quality time with loved ones is important to me.

What aspect of working for Blakeney Point fills you with the most excitement?

I am particularly excited about joining the team at Blakeney Point for a few reasons. Firstly, I thrive on new challenges and this opportunity promises to provide just that. Additionally, I am looking forward to being part of a supportive and close-knit team. Lastly, I’m eager to explore the new opportunities that working with Blakeney Point will bring, allowing me to further grow and develop in my career.
